Dr. Melissa Tihin, Psy.D., LMFT #86602/ Owner/ Clinical Supervisor

 

Melissa is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is committed to providing the highest standards of practice set forth by the profession of Marriage and Family Therapy. Melissa is an attachment-based therapist who is a passionate believer in the human capacity to evolve and lead increasingly productive, meaningful and pro-social lives. She views psychotherapy as one particularly efficacious tool for self-improvement, healing, and the cultivation of well-being.

Melissa began her formal education and training to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 2009. She obtained her Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, Irvine, in 2012. She completed her Doctorate (Psy.D.) in Psychology with an emphasis in Couple and Family Therapy, from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in May 2017.

Melissa specializes in working with adults, new parents and couples. Melissa is an Infant Mental Health Specialist who has extensive training and experience working with couples transitioning to parenthood. Melissa's research interests include: Infant Mental Health, Attachment, Parenting, Couples, Transitioning to Parenthood, Work-Family Conflict, Gender Issues, Shame and Vulnerability. She recently concluded a study on The Narratives of Career Driven Women and Their Experiences of Motherhood.

Melissa is the owner of Central Valley Family Therapy. In addition to her clinical work, she also supervises MFT- Associates at the practice, and is passionate about educating and training clinicians, as well as, increasing the availability of mental health services to all individuals and families, regardless of socio-economic status

Heidi Camacho, MS LMFT #99799 LPCC#5291/ Clinical Supervisor

 

Heidi is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, as well as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. Heidi received her Master’s degree in Counseling with an option in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University Fresno. Heidi also received her Bachelor’s degree at CSU Fresno studying Liberal Studies with an Emphasis in Child and Family Sciences. Heidi has treated children, couples, families, and individuals in a variety of settings, and specializes in working with victims of violent crimes and other trauma. Heidi studies and utilizes Trauma-Focused CBT and Sand Tray Therapy, and is also certified in suicide prevention. Heidi believes healing is a personal and intimate journey, and through the therapeutic process healing can lead to empowerment and enlightenment

Jonathan Woodard MS AMFT #94785 PCCI #3081

 

Jonathan is a Board of Behavioral Sciences Marriage and Family Therapy Registered Associate and is currently working towards licensure. Jonathan received his Bachelors in Psychology from California State University Fresno in 2013, his Master of Science degree in Counseling with an option in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling, as well as his PPS Credential from California State University Fresno in 2016. Jonathan utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Theraplay principles, Client-Centered Play Therapy and Structural Family Therapy in his work with clients. Jonathan enjoys working with children, as well as, couples for Marriage and Family Therapy. Jonathan believes that people have the ability to change and grow at any point in their lives and that therapy is a great medium for fueling said desired change and growth.
Ashley is a Board of Behavioral Sciences Marriage and Family Therapy Registered Associate and is currently working towards licensure. Ashley obtained her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from University of California, San Diego and her Masters of Science in Psychology from California Polytechnic, San Luis Obispo. Ashley has worked with various populations including children, families, those affected by substance use/abuse, needs children and adults, LGBT individuals and families. Ashley utilizes Client Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to assist her clients and families in improving their mental health. Ashley is dedicated to the clients that she serves and believes that all people have the power to heal with the right support.
